The following Terms and Conditions pertain to shows hosted by Quiz Meisters (inclusive of Trivia, Bingo Boombox, Splelling Bee, Sheepoll’s Opinion Trivia, etc.). By submitting your details through our online booking system, you hereby explicitly agree to these Terms and Conditions and confirm that you have the appropriate authority within your organisation to agree to such Terms and Conditions.


A Quiz Meisters event can vary in length according to the show, the crowd and the event. Our shows usually run for approximately 2 hours (with time either side for set up and pack up) for our In-Person shows, or 1–1.5 hours for our Online shows; however, different show times are available upon request. Please let us know in writing as early as possible if the show time needed for your event changes. If your event runs longer than expected (at the fault of the organiser), you will be charged $77 per half-hour per host. If this is the fault of the host or hosts, there will be no extra charges incurred.

While our In-Person events are commonly 2 hours in length, we can offer a reduced length at 1 hour or 1.5 hours. While this may be shorter than our standard length of our shows, they still retain the core values of our content relevant to each show.
However, we don’t offer a reduced price for these shortened shows. This is due to the following:

  • It requires more work for our creative team to condense the show to the desired length while still maintaining our brand of trivia.
  • Our hosts have to adjust their hosting to the different timeframe of the standard length of our shows.
  • It still requires the same amount of admin and preparation for a shorter length show than it would for a standard 2 hour show. It can at times require more admin and preparation.
  • We pay our hosts an award rate of 3 hours minimum for their time hosting these shows.

We will use our best endeavours to:

  • provide the show with all the skill, care and diligence to be expected from a qualified, competent, and experienced show provider;
  • ensure that the show is carried out by our employees or agents who are properly trained, experienced, and accredited to run the show;
  • act in your best interests in connection with these terms and conditions;
  • and provide the show in a timely and efficient manner, and meet all reasonable deadlines set by you, in accordance with these terms and conditions.

Quiz Meisters will arrange for a trained Quiz Meisters host to contact your event’s organiser three days prior to your event to discuss the format of your event, audio/visual (A/V) requirements, and to just say g’day. If a physical event, your host will arrive at the venue an hour before the event is due to start to set up the A/V equipment and do a sound check. Your host will present the show and mark answers as the show progresses (as part of our COVID-Safe measures, teams may need to mark their own sheets). If an online event, the host will open the event 15 minutes prior. Our hosts are a fun bunch, but we have trained them to present professionally, as they are the face of Quiz Meisters. Quiz Meisters will provide the show content, physical or online answer sheets, pens and all A/V gear needed (please see below).

You are responsible for your conduct and ensuring that you comply with these terms and conditions. In particular, you must:

  • cooperate with us as we reasonably require; provide the information and documentation that we reasonably require;
  • on request, make available to us such facilities as we reasonably require;
  • ensure that our staff, employees and contractors are provided with a safe working environment;
  • ensure that your staff and agents cooperate with and assist us;

and ensure that:

  • the use by us or any person authorised by us of any material will not infringe the rights (including intellectual property rights) of any person or give rise to any obligation on our behalf (or any person authorised by us) to pay compensation or royalty to any person;
  • the information and material provided by you to us is accurate and true.

Should any aspect of your event, or what you require from us or the show we have been instructed to give, changes then please let us know as soon as possible. It is a good idea for you to organise prizes for the first, second and third place winners, and a wooden spoon is always a good idea for the team that comes last. There are a handful of games included in our shows and we also recommend that you supply prizes for these. We shall notify you of the number of games that will be included in your show. Please advise us as soon as possible if you are expecting more than 180 people to attend the show. Our standard A/V equipment may not be appropriate and we may require you to make alternate arrangements with a third-party audio/visual company.

We shall issue our invoice for your show within 7 business days of the event, barring any unforeseen circumstances. If the venue for the event is more than 50 minutes’ travel from the CBD, then we shall charge a small travel fee. For events held more than 1.5 hours away from the CBD, we will contact you with a quote for regional travel. If the venue for the event is within the CBD then:

  • If the start time for the show is before 5.00pm and parking has not been arranged by you, then our Quiz Meisters host will arrange their own parking and the full cost of such parking will be included in our invoice.
  • If the start time for the event is after 5.00pm then we will require you to arrange for them to have a car parking space for the duration of the event. If a car parking space cannot be arranged then we shall charge the full cost of parking that the host has had to organise themselves.
  • If the show takes place within 7 days of booking a Short Notice Booking Surcharge of 10% of your show’s total fee will be incurred on your booking fee.
  • If your show is scheduled for a weekend or public holiday, additional charges of $75 for In-Person and $55 for Online will apply.
  • Custom content requires additional production time and must be provided in advance. Bonus Questions must be received by our team one week in advance of the show, while Custom Built shows require 2 weeks minimum. If this is not met, a 10% surcharge will be applied to the custom production costs. Custom requests made within 72 hours of the show are not guaranteed due to the lack of time to produce them.

Should there be any changes that affect the show overall (change of show start time, show length increase/decrease, venue change, etc.), we require minimum 48 hours notice in writing. That way we can communicate any changes for the show to our hosts with enough notice for them to prepare accordingly. If you fail to provide notice of any major changes in writing, a Short Notice Surcharge of 10% of your show's fee will be incurred.

You must pay our invoice within 7 days of its issuance. We accept payment via cheque, EFT, cash, or credit card. Please note: if you are paying by credit card, there is a surcharge of 1.85% for domestic cards including Visa, MasterCard and AMEX. This is automatically added when you pay your invoice through our online payment service.
We can’t issue your final invoice for the remaining outstanding until after your show has taken place. This is to ensure that all factors of the show, inclusive of anything above, are considered when we invoice you for the final amount, and you can be charged the correct amount for your show.

A non-refundable $100 deposit will be required at time of booking. This can be paid on the show booking form we send you, or via invoice. If you choose to pay via invoice, we require payment no later than 24 hours later so your event can be booked in. The booking will not be confirmed until the deposit is paid.

While we have products built specifically for our events, we can definitely accommodate any custom content you require to give your show a more personal touch. This can be done a number of ways for a number of our products:


We can make your show customised in one of two ways
:1. Standard: $55 for Bonus Questions - these are questions submitted by you to replace some of our written questions in the quiz. We require 6-8 of your questions and answers to be sent by you no later than 5 business days before your event is scheduled to take place, and then our creative team can spread your custom questions throughout the quiz.
If your questions are sent to us after the 5 business days deadline, an additional 10% Short Notice Surcharge will be added to the bonus questions fee. If your questions are sent to us 48 hours before your event, they will not be included in the show.

2. Bespoke: $30 per 30 minutes for Quiz Writing Production, $40 per 30 minutes for Audio-Visual Production -  we can create a fully custom quiz fit to a specific theme or concept that your event is based on. Our team will send you a form to fill out, and then we'll create the quiz from the content you have included in this form. We will be able to provide you with the overall time spent on both forms of customisation in the final communications we have with you before the event, and these time based charges will appear on your final invoice.
We require all of your bespoke information no later than 10 business days before your event is scheduled to take place. This information includes but is not limited to; advising us of a bespoke concept without prior notice to the 10 business days, advising us of any changes to the bespoke content, additional admin required for the bespoke show, or further inclusions that you have provided to us.
If your information is sent to us after this period, an additional 20% short notice charge of your show's customisation fee will be applied. If your bespoke information is sent to us less than 5 business days before your event, we cannot proceed with creating your custom content. If you advise us of the cancellation of the bespoke content for the show after it has been finalised and created, you will be charged the full fee for the amount of customisation work completed.

Our charges are based in two forms:
Quiz Writing Production: Entails the research towards the content of your theme or concept, and the creation of questions stemmed from the research we find.
Audio-Visual Production: Entails the research towards the content of your theme or concept, and the creation of audio-visual segments and questions based on the research we find relevant.

Concept development meeting for Custom Built Shows $90 per 30 minutes

If your event is not going ahead, please provide us with as much notice as possible in writing. We require a minimum 48 hours notice to cancel your booking. If you cancel your booking after the deposit has been paid, the deposit amount will be retained as a cancellation fee. There is no additional cancellation fee.If you have requested any additional custom content for your show you will be charged 100% of the custom content costs (on top of the $100 non-refundable deposit).If you have to cancel your event with less than 48 hours notice provided, then you will be charged the full fee of your show including all custom content created for your been paid, the deposit amount will be retained as a cancellation fee. There is no additional cancellation fee. If you have requested any additional custom content for your show you will be charged 100% of the custom content costs (on top of the $100 non-refundable deposit).


Should you need to postpone your event for any reason, we can assist you with your rescheduling. We require a minimum 48 hours notice to postpone your booking. Please provide us with this notice in writing. There are no additional fees required to postpone your show before the 48 hour deadline, and we can have your booking on hold until you have confirmed a new date.If you provide less than 48 hours notice to postpone your event, we will treat this as a cancellation. In this event, the initial $100 deposit will serve as a cancellation fee and you will need to submit a new booking form with another $100 deposit for your event.
Should your event need to be postponed, we can reserve your deposit and event for 12 months. If a new event date is not decided in that time, the postponement will be treated as a cancellation and the $100 deposit will serve as a cancellation fee.

Quiz Meisters is dedicated to mitigating risks to our staff and clients, including those specific to Covid-19. It is our expectation that all staff will adhere to the current guidelines for hygiene, social distancing and self isolation as mandated by the federal and state governments.

If Covid-19 regulations and restrictions affect the status of your event, we will work with you to postpone your event to a later date until it is safe to do so. We will work to adhere to our Covid-19 policy as well as government regulations, but also adhere to our cancellation and postponement policies outlined in our terms and conditions. If your event has to be cancelled due to Covid-19 restrictions put in place and cannot be postponed, the deposit amount will be retained as a cancellation fee. If you have requested any additional custom content for your show, you will be charged for the costs of any production that has already occurred (on top of the $100 non-refundable deposit).

Very infrequently, a client falls into arrears. In this case, Quiz Meisters will make every effort to advise you if you are in arrears via email and/or phone to arrange payment of the outstanding amount. If payment has not been made within 90 days following the issuance of our invoice, we may have no alternative but to refer the matter to a debt collection agency. Should your account end up in arrears with no response or communication to Quiz Meisters, then your account will be referred to our Debt Collection Agency. You will then incur an additional charge consisting of all costs required to engage such services to our successful recovery on all fronts.

We will provide the event with reasonable care and skill. However, we will not be liable to you for any loss or damage in the following cases:

  • If we are unable to provide our show to you due to any reasons beyond our control;
  • For any loss you suffer when taking part in our show, to the extent permitted by law;
  • For loss or damage (including personal injury whether or not resulting in death) suffered by punters, your staff, the Quiz Meisters host or any other persons present at the event arising from any acts or omissions in the course of the performance of the show.


A Quiz Meisters show (including all formats) remains our property. You must not share our property with any third party, or present, use, or otherwise pass off our property as yours without express written consent from us to do so.

These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia.

As a company, we would like the opportunity to address any concerns you may have regarding our services. In signing these terms and conditions, you agree to take reasonable steps to resolve any dispute that may arise by emailing us at and informally outlining the issues you have. We will also take reasonable steps to resolve this dispute informally. Furthermore, you agree to resolve any claims relating to our provision of services, and these terms and conditions, through the use of mediation or arbitration. This agreement ensures that we both utilise alternative dispute resolution mechanisms before resorting to formal litigation.

We reserve the right to amend these terms and conditions from time to time. If a change meaningfully alters these terms and conditions, we will notify you.
