The Qlub – Privacy Policy

Quiz Meisters PTY LTD (Quiz Meisters) committed to providing a quality service. This policy outlines our ongoing obligations to you in respect of how we manage your Personal Information specifically relating to The Qlub - our opt-in member program. Our general privacy policy is available here.
We have adopted the National Privacy Principles (NPPs) contained in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) (the Privacy Act). The NPPs govern the way in which we collect, use, disclose, store, secure and dispose of your Personal Information.

Acceptance of Privacy Policy
By providing us with Personal Information and/or by using The Qlub, you agree to the collection, holding, use and disclosure of your Personal Information as described in this Privacy Policy. We may modify this Privacy Policy at any time, and we recommend you check this page periodically, so you are updated on any changes. This Privacy Policy is in addition to the Terms and Conditions applicable to the use of The Qlub. If you do not agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy, please contact us immediately and, in the meantime, refrain from providing us with any Personal Information and cease using The Qlub.
Personal Information collected by us
By joining The Qlub:
When you sign up to "The Qlub", we’ll collect information like your name, email, and trivia attendance (e.g. checking in at shows). This helps us: Track your check-ins (so we know you're part of the party), deliver rewards like merch discounts and prize draw entries, send you exclusive content, offers, and other communication.
We use JoinIt as a third-party platform to manage The Qlub. As part of this, your data may be stored and processed through JoinIt’s systems. We’ve reviewed their infrastructure and privacy practices and found them to be aligned with our own policies and the Australian Privacy Principles.

We may also collect data on how you interact with Qlub emails or offers (e.g. if you opened up promotion that was sent to you).
We do not sell your data. Ever. Your info may be shared with our partners or venues only if required to fulfil a specific Qlub offer or benefit – and only in ways that make sense and respect your privacy.As with everything else in this Privacy Policy, your data is handled in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles and the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). If you ever want to opt out, update your details, or delete your account, contact us at marketing@quizmeisters.com or the email / phone number at the bottom of this policy.
We collect your Personal Information for the primary purpose of providing our services to you, providing information to our clients and for marketing. We may also use your Personal Information for secondary purposes closely related to the primary purpose, in circumstances where you would reasonably expect such use or disclosure. Feel free to unsubscribe from our mailing/marketing lists at any time by contacting us in writing at the details listed at the bottom of this policy.
We also may collect additional non-personally identifiable information (for example, browser version, IP address) that will provide information regarding the general use of The Qlub. This will help us to continually improve the user experience. We and our service providers may collect and hold, use and disclose location data including the real-time geographic location of the device that The Qlub is accessed on. The location data is collected anonymously in a form that does not personally identify you and is used by us and our service providers to improve our services.
By providing us with personal information, you consent to that information being collected, used, disclosed and stored in accordance with this Privacy Policy. If you do not give personal information to us, it may affect our ability to provide you with products and/or services
Where we engage with you multiple times over a short period in relation to the same matter, we may not provide you with a separate notice about privacy each time we engage with you; however, we will provide you with an opportunity to opt out of receiving communications about that matter within each of those communications.
Use and disclosure of Personal Information
The Qlub will collect, hold, use and disclose your personal information for purposes including, without limitation:
• To improve your The Qlub experience
• To monitor The Qlub usage
• To provide you with information about events, products and or services that may interest you.
• To enable licensed venues and their associated marketing partners to market and promote their services to you.
• To use details of the items ordered or purchased from us.
Sensitive Information
Sensitive information is defined in the Privacy Act to include information or opinion about such things as an individual's racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, membership of a political association, religious or philosophical beliefs, membership of a trade union or other professional body, criminal record or health information. Sensitive information will be used by us only:
• For the primary purpose for which it was obtained
• For a secondary purpose that is directly related to the primary purpose
• With your consent; or where required or authorised by law.
Security of Personal Information
Your Personal Information is stored in a manner that reasonably protects it from misuse and loss and from unauthorised access, modification or disclosure.
When your Personal Information is no longer needed for the purpose for which it was obtained, we will take reasonable steps to destroy or permanently de-identify your Personal Information. However, most of the Personal Information is or will be stored in client files which will be kept by us for a minimum of 7 years.
Access to your Personal Information
You may access the Personal Information we hold about you and to update and/or correct it, subject to certain exceptions. If you wish to access your Personal Information, please contact us in writing. (As we said before, scroll to the end for our details and drop us a line!)
Quiz Meisters will not charge any fee for your access request, but may charge an administrative fee for providing a copy of your Personal Information. In order to protect your Personal Information, we may require identification from you before releasing the requested information.
Children’s Privacy
We ask that anyone under 18 years of age does not attempt to register with The Qlub or otherwise provide us with any personal information without the consent of a parent, legal guardian or educator.

We make no representations or warranties in relation to the privacy practices of any third party websites are not responsible for the privacy policies or the content of any third party website. Third party websites are responsible for informing you about their own privacy practices.
